Having Trouble Activating?
If you’re having trouble activating, here are some common issues and resolutions:
- Just purchased? Purchases usually process instantly, but in some rare cases, it can take an additional 15 minutes. If you haven’t received a welcome email from us yet, wait 15 minutes to receive the welcome email from Mimestream (not the Paddle receipt), and then try activating again.
-
Used the wrong email? The address you purchased with doesn’t have to be an account you use in Mimestream. From the activation screen, just click
Activate Existing Licenseand enter your purchase email there. If Mimestream is automatically finding a purchase, but you still want to manually enter a purchase email, you can hold down theOptionkey and click this button.Note: For Mimestream 1.9+, go to the
Subscriptiontab in Mimestream Settings window, clickSign in to Mimestreamand follow the instructions. - Typo in your email? If you made a typo in your email address while checking out, you’ll have to contact support@mimestream.com to fix this. Please try to include information, like a screenshot of your confirmation page. We try to process these requests as quickly as possible. Keep in mind that we are on Eastern Time in the United States.
-
Not receiving activation codes? Please check your spam label or folder to see if the message is there. In some rare cases, forwarding setups can bounce these emails. In this case, it may be necessary to contact support@mimestream.com and request a change of your email address to reliably receive activation code emails.
Note: For Mimestream 1.9+, Activation codes are no longer required. Go to the
Subscriptiontab in Mimestream Settings window, clickSign in to Mimestreamand follow the instructions.

Background License Refresh
From time to time, the app will automatically refresh the status of your subscription license in the background, in order to handle subscription events (e.g. expiration, cancellation, refund) or changes you made on our portal to your active device list.
These checks are engineered to not interfere with any normal, temporary offline usage. In addition, there are grace periods in place if there’s no network connectivity, or if the activation server is offline.
