Mailbox Badges

By default, labels (folders) show the Unread message or thread count (depending on whether threading by conversation is enabled). However, for specific labels like Starred and Drafts, the total thread/message count is shown instead.

Mimestream has the ability to customize the display of the badge count for Starred, Drafts, and Spam folders. To customize these settings:

  1. Using the top main menu, select Mimestream, then choose Settings…(or Preferences… on macOS 12)
  2. Click the Sidebar & List tab.
  3. Check/uncheck the badge count visibility for each special folder type.
