Mimestream now has integrated with Apple Intelligence to assist you in composing emails more effectively. This feature requires enabling Apple Intelligence on a Mac with Apple Silicon running macOS 15.1 or newer.

Proofreading and Tone Change

Our integration of “Writing Tools”, powered by Apple Intelligence, enables you to compose clearer and more refined messages with ease. To get started, simply click the “Apple Intelligence” button in the toolbar of Mimestream’s compose window. This will open the “Writing Tools” popover, where you can choose to proofread, rewrite, or adjust the tone of your message.

Mimestream’s integration prevents you from rewriting your signature or the quoted text of a message you’re replying to, ensuring that you’re only working with the relevant text. Additionally, you can select a specific range of text and focus solely on that section.

Composing with ChatGPT

In addition, on macOS 15.2 or newer, Writing Tools can utilize ChatGPT to help you compose new content. Select the “Compose” option from the popover, then provide a brief description of the response you’d like. Writing Tools will then use the ChatGPT API to insert a draft for you, and provide you with follow-up questions and suggestions for subsequent refinement.
